Tapapa West land was offered to Te Hanga North Trustees in a back to back arrangement with Ngati Mahanga when they were offered 3 blocks back from Transit NZ. THNLT was in a position to purchase the whenua and also support Ngati Mahanga to purchase the block of interest to them. It was the Trustees first venture beyond the care of the Te Hanga North blocks and opened to door to many possibilities..
