Kia ora, the Trustees and Owners of Te Hanga North are in agreement that whanau from off these blocks should be supported to achieve their potential. We also know that many whanau struggle from day to day to provide for their children, elders and themselves.

This Trust is very small however we can help even if it is in a very small way. In response to the Owners wish for the Trust to support our whanau and protect our lands, we have created

Whanau Wellness. Emergency support to whanau

Whanau Tautoko Grant

For emergency and support. Available to owners and their whanau. Application must be submitted via and owner. Grants are up to $900 per years.

Kaumatua Koha

Kaumatua Koha

We pay out a kaumatua koha at the beginning of December annually. This is available to Owners over the age of 60yrs and their simblings. Registration is essential.

Kirihika Enhancement

Kirihika Enhancement

This grant is up to $10,000 for mahi that adds to and brings alive the whakapapa of our whenua and whanau from this area. Research, studies of the land, waterways, flora and fauna.

Whanaunga Wellness Grant

This grant is for the specific purpose of enhancing an owners quality of life such as medical or mobility aids, hearing aids, dental care or glasses. This grant is only available to owners.
